FROM THE FOUNDER

The 2025 International Small Business Summit will take place on 4-5 December at the TAFE Ashmore Campus on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

This pivotal event is a high-level forum designed to spark bold ideas and challenge outdated policies that continue to disadvantage Australia’s 2.6 million micro, small, and medium-sized businesses.

Small business policy in Australia is overdue for reform. “We need to move beyond a one-size-fits-all approach. A café with five staff shouldn’t be treated the same as a multinational with 500. It just doesn’t work.”

The Summit will bring together influential thought leaders – from across the political spectrum, business community, and academia – to ask tough questions and explore practical solutions for helping small businesses grow, innovate, and compete globally.

This is more than just a summit – it’s a call to action. If you care about the future of our small businesses in Australia, this is where change begins.

ABOUT THE EVENT

The SBAA International Small Business Summit is not your typical conference – it’s a high-impact thought leadership event designed for those shaping the future of small business on a local and global scale. Bringing together trailblazers, innovators, and decision-makers from across industries and continents, the Summit is a catalyst for bold ideas, actionable insights, and real-world outcomes.

The event attracts academics, government, members of parliament from all sides of politics, the diplomatic corps, industry associations including migrant groups and small and large businesses.

This is where deep conversations replace surface-level networking, and where leaders come to challenge convention, spark innovation, and forge meaningful change. Through high calibre panels, immersive discussions, and strategic collaboration, the SBAA Summit delivers more than inspiration – it delivers momentum.
