A Taste of Harmony (16 – 27 March) is an annual event that provides Australian workplaces – big and small – an opportunity to recognise and celebrate cultural diversity.
CREATING NEXT-LEVEL TEAM CONNECTION THROUGH FOOD
Team building activities are great for boosting the morale of your business – they encourage closeness, collaboration and can even help address interpersonal differences within a group. Most organisations understand the importance of group activities but can find implementation a challenge – these events can be expensive and burden human resources.A Taste of Harmony is the perfect solution for small business wanting to hold a structured activity that builds deep connection between people, is practically self-organising and requires no financial investment.
Over two weeks in March, tens of thousands of employees across Australia will participate in A Taste of Harmony. Many organisations arrange a simple lunch where people bring a home-cooked dish or bought item to work, taking inspiration from the culture that resonates with them most. They share how it’s made and explain its importance to their sense of place in the world.
Organisers can register their A Taste of Harmony event online. Registration is free and everything you need to manage the process is supplied, from the first calendar invite to instructions that remind you to book a room and lay out the cutlery. A Spotify playlist with international tunes is even included, with beats from Africa to Asia.
