Dr Darius Pfitzner is a passionate business academic and practitioner. For over the last 30 years, Darius has owned, operated and sold several successful businesses in different locations in Australia. For last fifteen years, Darius has been an active fulltime academic that includes teaching, research and executive activities in the university sector.
With extensive first hand practical business experience, Darius has developed a deep understanding of businesses issues encountered by both business owners and business managers. The unique blend of practical experience and research-based knowledge of contemporary theory and models puts Darius in a unique position to address these challenges in a theoretically sound and practical manner. Darius is particularly passionate about the role and contribution of micro and small business to the benefit of society.
As a long-term Territorian, Darius is regarded as a respected figure in the Northern Territory community. As a consequence, Darius is often called upon to engage with key business stakeholders including government, unions and the business sector to advise on important business, social and economic issues.
