SBAA Fair Use Policy for Legal, IR, and Consulting Services under membership benefit is as follows:

1. Purpose

The Small Business Association of Australia (SBAA) aims to provide valuable legal, industrial relations (IR), and consulting services to its members. This Fair Use Policy ensures that these services are used appropriately and fairly, allowing all members to benefit.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all SBAA members accessing legal, IR, and consulting services provided by the Association.

3. Access to Services

3.1. Members have access to consultations and verbal advice. These services are intended to provide initial guidance and support based on the information provided by the member.

3.2. Members are not entitled to free works or extended services beyond the scope of initial consultations and verbal advice. Any additional work will incur a separate fee.

4. Consultation Requirements

4.1. Prior to a consultation, members must briefly describe their situation and provide any relevant content or documentation. This enables our advisers to offer tailored advice based on the specific circumstances of the member.

4.2. Consultations will be scheduled based on the availability of our advisers and the urgency of the member’s situation.

5. Fair Use

5.1. Members are encouraged to use the consultation services responsibly and avoid excessive or unreasonable demands on the time and resources of our advisers.

5.2. The SBAA reserves the right to limit or deny access to consultation services if a member’s usage is deemed excessive or not in line with this Fair Use Policy.

6. Fees for Additional Services

6.1. Should a member require services beyond the initial consultation and verbal advice, such as document preparation, in-depth analysis, or representation, a separate fee will be quoted and agreed upon before any work is undertaken.

6.2. The fees for additional services will be communicated clearly, and the member must agree to these fees in writing before the commencement of any work.

7. Confidentiality

7.1. All information provided by members during consultations will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Advisers will only share information with relevant parties within the SBAA as necessary to provide the requested services.

8. Review and Amendments

8.1. This Fair Use Policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains relevant and effective.

8.2. The SBAA reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes.
