The SBAA believes in the importance and value of learning from successful business stories and has created the six-part Successful Women in Business Series, which allows local business owners to listen to and learn from Australia’s most successful businesswomen.
Featuring guest speaker Leina Broughton – a fashion designer, businesswoman and all round powerhouse and inspiration.
Leina is an Entrepreneur, Blogger & Speaker inspiring others to find their own zone of genius and turn it into a success. After 12 years of celebrated success as the Co-Founder, Creative Director and Head of Digital of online womenswear brand Leina & Fleur, her hands-on experience and skills make her an absolute powerhouse.
We heard about Leina’s journey that turned her business into one of the most successful Womenswear Brands in Australia, and learnt all about her insight into the world of business.
She started the label in her garage with a pure and simple focus to create clothing that gave women the confidence to walk into any room. As the business unfolded she created a rock solid marketing approach to transform the business to be pure play online. Building up a cult-like following, with garments selling out within hours of being released. Despite having no formal training within Marketing or Digital Advertising, this has not stopped her drive to grow, learn and thrive. The business grew to hit the $10million mark in 2022 whilst maintaining all garments were 100% Australian Made and the company remained privately owned.
Guests were taken on a VIP Tour of Jasmin Place and our production factory and also indulged in a bit of retail therapy.
